74th Annual Starlighting in Castle Rock CO

For the 74th year the annual “Lighting of  the Star,” on top of the Castle Rock, will happen on the Saturday before Thanksgiving at Wilcox Square in downtown Castle Rock.

November 21st, beginning at 1:00 p.m., carolers, bell ringers, musicians, hot chocolate, carriage rides, puppet shows and a variety of special holiday celebrations comprise this “Norman Rockwell experience.”

The Starlighting program begins at 5 p.m. and includes a group sing of Silent Night and the traditional reading of the Starlighting Poem. That jolly old elf himself, Santa Claus, directs the crowd in the count-down to the lighting of the Star. The Castle Rock Fire Department sponsors a Chili Supper at the station on Perry Street from 3-7:00 p.m. For more details, visit www.castlerock.org or call the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce at 303-688-4597.
